Hi to the entire team at The Cuban Arts Group, and happy tenth anniversary!
There are so many ways I could congratulate you for all the work you have done over the past decade in support of Cuban arts and artists—work in which I have also had the honor to take part.
I had the chance to collaborate with you on the project Silent Specific with René Francisco Rodríguez in 2020 during the pandemic, and later on many other initiatives, such as Coro de Cristales in 2022. At the same time as ARCO Madrid 2022, we also inaugurated René Francisco Rodríguez’s studio and worked with sixteen artists between Cubans and Spaniards. From here in Paris, we also had the opportunity to collaborate on the exhibition Emigrantes by artist Esterio Segura in 2022, along with the presentation of the artist book Hybrid of a Chrysler, created by Gabriela Azcuy and The Cuban Arts Group.
I am also aware of so many colleagues, friends, and creators from the Cuban diaspora living abroad who have always benefited from the support—including economic support—of The Cuban Arts Group.
I believe that in these past ten years, the foundation’s work has contributed to the consolidation and realization of numerous Cuban art projects and has elevated the visibility of Cuban artists, once again placing Cuban art at the highest level of the international context.
Thank you so much.
Happy tenth anniversary!
It has been a pleasure to collaborate with you, and I am very grateful.
