The Cuban Arts Group
Founded in 2015 by Susie and Mitchell Rice, The Cuban Arts Group was a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching and strengthening cross-cultural connections through the arts of Cuba. Operating as a collaborative effort between individuals from the U.S. and Cuba who are passionate about art and history, the organization spent a decade building upon the cultural evolution taking place both on the island and throughout the U.S. Cuban diaspora.
During its active years, the organization’s mission was to educate Americans about Cuban arts and culture through thoughtfully curated exhibitions and diverse educational arts programs, including discussions and lectures involving Cuban artists, art educators, curators, historians, and writers.
After 10 incredible years, more than 60 collaborative projects, and featuring hundreds of visionary artists, The Cuban Arts Group has officially closed its doors as an active non-profit. Today, this space serves as a permanent digital archive to honor and preserve a decade of cross-cultural connection, ensuring the legacy and impact of these artists remain accessible for years to come.
