Inmersiones Estratégicas: Primera Escala, is the title of  CIFO Scholarships and Commissions Program exhibition of 2018. The exhibition consists of new works by the nine winners of the 2018 Scholarships and Commissions Program.

Among them is the installation-performance Mártires, by Lazaro Saavedra. This work shows a conceptual vocation of popular tradition in Cuban art by using quotation and parody as an artistic language. The historical irony is revealed through the crisis of the old paradigms of the revolutionary hero, whose ideals today are sacrificed on this Caribbean island in the name of economic survival.
